The loved ones of teens lost after a deadly fire at a bar in a Switzerland's winter destination are enduring an excruciating period of uncertainty for official news and requesting any details about their family members publicly.

The fire ripped through the a popular bar in the alpine resort, located in the Swiss Alps of south-west Switzerland, in the small hours of the first day of the year. Circulated footage reveal the ceiling igniting as bottles with fireworks are raised in celebration.

Authorities have stated that it could take days if not weeks to identify the those who perished of the disaster, which claimed the lives of numerous partygoers and wounded another scores more. Officials said on Friday that 113 of the injured have been identified, with work still underway to locate the remaining few.
