An Palestinian-American teenager having endured nine months in Israeli detention absent formal charges gained freedom.
Mohammed Ibrahim was fifteen years old during his detention this past winter in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, where he was visiting from his Florida home for allegedly throwing stones toward Israeli settlers, allegations he repeatedly contested.
United States authorities said it welcomed the news of Mohammed's release.
Currently aged sixteen, was taken to hospital right after being freed, family members reported.
They said he is showing signs of malnutrition, and experiencing medical problems acquired while detained.
Through an official statement, family spokesperson expressed the family's "overwhelming sense of relief".
Zeyad Kadur stated the family experienced "living a horrific and endless nightmare" over the last nine months.
"Right now, we are focused on getting Mohammed prompt healthcare he needs after being subjected to harsh conditions and inhumane conditions over several months."
US officials announced ongoing to offer diplomatic assistance for the Ibrahim family.
{"American leadership gives utmost importance than the safety and security for United States citizens"," it added.
A group of American legislators had signed a letter to US authorities and President Donald Trump, demanding more be done for his freedom.
Mr Ibrahim, parent of four children operating an ice cream shop based in Tampa, previously claimed his child admitted guilt to throwing stones because the soldiers beat him.
There were no visits nor direct contact following the detention, learning information solely regarding the treatment via legal paperwork.
The teenager remained absent formal charges in Ofer prison on the West Bank.
The facility also contains adult prisoners, including individuals found guilty of serious terrorism offences and homicide.
There are around several hundred young Palestinian detainees being held in Israeli jails, according to the Israeli Prison Service.
Several lack formal charges and human rights groups, including UN bodies, report instances of physical abuse and torture.
Following Mohammed's release, family representatives announced relatives would persist in advocating demanding accountability for their family member family member Sayfollah.
This young American-Palestinian according to health authorities was beaten to death by Israeli settlers during a confrontation in July.
At the time, defense forces stated they were examining accounts of a Palestinian had been killed.
Mohammed and Sayfollah had worked together within the family's frozen treats establishment from Tampa.
No charges have been filed regarding Sayfollah's death.
"We anticipate US authorities to protect our families," the uncle stated.
